Tutu School East Cobb offers pumpkin painting on October 25th; tickets can be purchased today. There is no need to report absences, as make-up credits are automatically noted on your account and can be used at any time while enrolled.

The school's approach to teaching young children is carefully considered. While ballet technique is introduced more each year, it is always balanced with creative, imaginative activities to keep children engaged. For example, in the Exploring Ballet division, children begin learning basic barre exercises but also spend time dancing creatively and learning ballet stories.

Tutu School teaches students up to eight years old because this is an appropriate age to begin more serious training. Training at too young an age can lead to bad habits and a negative view of ballet. The school's focus is on enrichment, not training toddlers and young children to be professional dancers. Pacing a child's progression through divisions ensures they do not miss out on anything or advance too quickly. The school aims to keep each student challenged and engaged, and welcomes parent feedback on their child's progress.

Every child will participate in class at their own pace. The school provides a warm and nurturing environment and works to meet shy students where they are, drawing them into activities when they are ready. Children may try things at home before participating fully in class. Parents are encouraged to share any information that might help their child's progress.

Caregiver participation is required in the Baby Ballet division. The caregiver's role is to support their dancer physically, cognitively, and emotionally. Exposure to classical music stimulates brain activity and enhances auditory awareness, while regular physical movement increases gross motor development in infants. Teachers understand that each dancer will embrace the experience at their own pace.

Caregiver participation is also required in the Tutu Toddlers division. The caregiver supports their dancer physically, cognitively, and emotionally, such as with hand-holding, decision-making, or offering comfort and encouragement.
